You would figure this out by asking questions and getting to know them and showing interest in their interest. I would also incorporating hands-on, sensory and stimulating activities.

MemberApril 27, 2024 at 2:43 pmTo get children engaged in active, meaningful learning is making it fun for everyone to learn. Personally In would start with circle time. When I would ask a question to the group of children I would call on each child individually to try and see if they have an answer. If they don’t then I would encourage them to think a little bit and I would come back to them. I would also make the learning interactive where the children individually will interact with the teacher in the group setting.

Children love learning with music. I believe involving songs with learning is a great way to increase a child’s knowledge.

MemberMay 12, 2024 at 7:51 pmSome creative ways to get children engaged are to start whichever activity that is being done. The key is to not complete the activity and to put the kids in the drivers seat whether its art, manipulatives, or whatever it may be. After you start the activity, if you engage the kids with questions,”forgetting” how you were going to do it and get kids involved. I have found more kids are drawn to the thing that you are doing which then opens the door to questions and learning because they want to try and do what the teacher does and even finish what you started.
Another way is to get a few kids involved in whichever center it may because the more kids you can get to play the more other kids want to join in

Taking learning outdoors and incorporate nature into lessons. Outdoor exploration, nature walks, gardening, and outdoor games. Integrating music and movement activities into lessons to engage children both physically and cognitively. Singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments
