Create some activities indoor/outdoor that will develop social, thinking, art skills. See which kid like more or less, and provide some ideas based on observations. For example, if kid likes art, provide different supplies such as watercolor, paper, and pencils.

Two creative ideas include interactive storytelling where children could use props to bring stories to life, and doing hands-on experiments where students with the help of teachers could conduct simple, sensory-based science experiments.

Creative ways to get children engaged could mean creating new games and activities for them, or searching online or in curriculum that has suggestions for new ideas or games.

Keep them engaged by songs or doing mind brakes for the children to have a bit of break

Knowing your classroom as a whole I believe helps with making certain teaching material fun and effective along with it being memorable. Incorporating all senses can be helpful.

I had this teacher in school that gave us a sheet of paper full of questions about ourselves and what we enjoy doing. She later on collected all that information and started making fun activities around the things we liked. She would look for educational online games and find ways for people to use their creativity during reading and writing sessions. There weren’t many people in that class that enjoyed sports, so she never gave us any material related to sports. I think learning what our students like doing can help us build activities and sessions around them and make them fun and creative.

To get a child involved and engaged in active meaningful activities is to have one on one time with the child also to observe what catches the child’s eye and what interest them and build off of that

it is important to know each child and what they specifically like I think to get a child engage you need to learn their interests and build connections off of that.

I think by asking children questions is a great way to get them engaged which encourages them to think critically and explore concepts and ideas.

To engage children in active, meaningful learning, use hands-on activities like simple science experiments, where they can see cause and effect in action. Set up role-playing areas to let them pretend different characters, boosting their social and creative skills. Art projects with various materials encourage self-expression and problem-solving. Outdoor explorations, like nature walks, connect them with the environment and spark curiosity. Interactive storytelling with props or puppets makes stories come alive and enhances their language development and imagination. These activities make learning fun and interactive.

Some creative ways, could be a learning through play moment where they are playing but there are also many learning curves Role playing – play doctor, play house, store and understand those concepts and what to do in those environments. Give them hands-on learning experiments like science with slime, and more.

Engaging children in active, meaningful learning can be achieved through a variety of creative approaches. Incorporating hands-on activities, such as science experiments, art projects, or building tasks, allows children to explore concepts in a tangible way. Integrating play-based learning by setting up dramatic play areas or role-playing scenarios helps children connect learning with real-life experiences. Using stories and themes that capture their interest can make lessons more engaging and relatable. Encouraging outdoor exploration and physical activity, such as scavenger hunts or nature walks, provides opportunities for discovery and movement. Additionally, involving children in planning and decision-making about their learning activities can foster a sense of ownership and enthusiasm.

schedule some projects or activities around things that are relevant in the childrens lives, for example, in the winter months can do a project centered around snow which allows the children to share their snow stories and the teacher to explain terminology and open up conversation.
