Screen time is very rare in our center. We only utilize it when there’s any extra time left after a center event, while waiting for the parents to come pick up the children.

Yes, screen time is limit to certain times of the day. I am a home based worker so I often use when preparing food during lunch time. Regarding commercials, their tablets do not have commercials shown on either educational apps.

Although I know longer work directly in the child care facilities, I am often in a variety of different centers and family child care homes. When TV or tablets are used I find it is rarely effective unless used for short periods of time such as described by the family provider.

I try to keep the screen time very minimal in my class and would like to engage them in activities rather than watching videos. Also i use mostly the audio transcripts for learning so that they can listen more.

We do not have screen time in our center as it is reggio emilio based and we place a large emphasis on getting back to nature.

In our center, the use of any device is restricted and although the use of short videos has sometimes been mentioned, there is always the premise of not using them.In our center, the use of any device is restricted and although the use of short videos has sometimes been mentioned, there is always the premise of not using them.

We have 15 min a day on no school days or during the summer towards the end of the day. Staff does not remind them if they say nothing them we don’t have it. Preschool dose not have screen time unless an occasional educational video, we playing or outside.

At the childcare center where I work, the children are almost never allowed any screen time. The exception is a special movie day which occurs about once a year. Also, once in a while the weekly chapel service shows a Bible story video. Music CD’s are played at naptime and during afternoon play time, but obviously those are only auditory and not visual. This exposes the children to music and there are no ads.

At the Daycare I work at there are rules for screentime use. Only preschool age and up use the iPads and no more than 20 mins per day.

We follow licensing guidelines for screen time, which is about 20 minutes per day, I believe.
