GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 2:54 pmScreen time is very rare in our center. We only utilize it when there’s any extra time left after a center event, while waiting for the parents to come pick up the children.

GuestSeptember 24, 2022 at 4:21 pmYes, screen time is limit to certain times of the day. I am a home based worker so I often use when preparing food during lunch time. Regarding commercials, their tablets do not have commercials shown on either educational apps.

GuestSeptember 26, 2022 at 11:17 pmAlthough I know longer work directly in the child care facilities, I am often in a variety of different centers and family child care homes. When TV or tablets are used I find it is rarely effective unless used for short periods of time such as described by the family provider.

GuestOctober 14, 2022 at 6:20 pmI try to keep the screen time very minimal in my class and would like to engage them in activities rather than watching videos. Also i use mostly the audio transcripts for learning so that they can listen more.

GuestDecember 14, 2022 at 4:28 amAt the childcare center where I work, the children are almost never allowed any screen time. The exception is a special movie day which occurs about once a year. Also, once in a while the weekly chapel service shows a Bible story video. Music CD’s are played at naptime and during afternoon play time, but obviously those are only auditory and not visual. This exposes the children to music and there are no ads.
