GuestDecember 31, 2022 at 2:36 amI do not allow any screen time at my inhome childcare unless it is for a special occasion (i.e. we may watch a themed movie for a holiday party). I have it in my policy that children are not to bring any toys/electronics from home as well to prevent cross contamination and kids getting screen time.

GuestJanuary 3, 2023 at 6:38 amThe centers that I go in to and Coach at, they rarely allow any screen time at all. Actually in the past 4 or 5 years I have seen screen time in centers diminishing.

Our student’s do have access to iPads for 10 minutes a day 3 time a week, but we have settings on them that there are no adds. They only have access to educational games.

GuestApril 29, 2023 at 8:14 pmYes, we don’t do any screen time, ever. I have an in home daycare, and we spend lots of time playing outdoors. We do listen to music using a screen (to stream), but there is nothing to watch on the screen during that time.

GuestMay 16, 2023 at 12:37 pmI do not let the children in my home day care watch any tv and very seldom do we use electronics. If we do, it is for educational purposes only. I have half a dozen IPads for this reason only to help preschoolers with learning exercises.

GuestMay 21, 2023 at 3:55 pmI work with children that are two years old, some are three. We have no screen time in our classroom. I like this because they stay busy playing and learning all day.

GuestJune 27, 2023 at 12:31 amIn our work center, screen time is not allowed, since the child does not need it. Surely when the children come home, 50% use it.

GuestJuly 3, 2023 at 5:48 pmWe do sometimes have movies, maybe once a month. I will play short YouTube videos about a topic if it’s not something we can easily see in our center. Some weeks I do a movement song each day from YouTube

GuestJuly 31, 2023 at 10:35 pmAt my childcare center, we limit screen time to only one special occasion and that is the day before winter break when the children get to watch Frosty the Snowman.
