Absolutley! We do not encourage screen time unless it’s for academic purposes or the screen time has an absolute purpose. We can just do away with no screen time completely we have to evolove with it, however with purpose and a goal.

Yes, we limit all screen time to 45/week and it needs to be for educational purposes only. There are rare occasions where we will watch a movie for a holiday party, etc. but we always let the parents know and opt out if they want.

Screen time is rarely allowed at the Center where I work. We watch a movie on occasion to celebrate special occasions-for example a Christmas movie. There are no TV’s in classrooms.

I work at a private school and we do have rules for screen time. We do not allow screen time expect for our chapel class once a week and they watch a less than 2 minute video and occasionally the kids can watch a short film for special occasions, which is only a few times a year.

Our students are allowed no more than two hours of screen time per week. This includes movies, cell phones, laptops and tablets.

Due to licensing requirements, we are limited to no more than 2 hours per day of screen time. However, our daycare tries to limit screen time to less than 2 hours per week. Those options are typically used for music and movement when unable to go outdoors during inclement weather and for special circumstances like holiday shows.

I have rules as to screen time in my childcare. Screen time is used for dance, interactive songs, holiday music, and once in a while a movie.

Yes, there are rules at our child care. Screen time is limited and only used occasionally at the end of the day and for educational purposes.

At my center some screen time is allowed as far as during the holidays or a class treat for the kids were able to do a movie on a Friday right before or during nap time for preschool kids and the two-year-old toddlers. the young toddler and infant class wouldn’t do movies. When we do movies we ask parents and families for permission first and they are aware ahead of time.

Yes. We rarely use screens and the WAC rule is different for every age. Less screen time more active play is best.

Our center limits screen time, and in my classroom it is obsolete. The state allows for an hour and a half of screen time week, but my class has used their energy to perform “plays”, act out books, or even concerts.

Yes, we only watch TV for 30 minutes or sometimes an hour every Friday; we call it “movie day.” On special occasions, like school events, we let them watch a show for a while while we finish organizing the classroom.

Screen time is not allowed at our center unless pre-approved by the supervisors and parents 2-3 weeks in advance since we have our lesson plans done 2-3 weeks in advance.
