GuestSeptember 12, 2025 at 9:23 pmTo make handwashing fun and exciting, we could organize a class activity where we create personal soaps that contain a toy inside. As the students use these soaps, they will also have the added motivation of working towards a goal to receive the toy!

GuestSeptember 14, 2025 at 8:14 pmhonestly like how others said singing songs could really help, even having fun soaps or just foamy soaps, sometimes i like making stories up and they pretend their doctors or something

GuestSeptember 14, 2025 at 9:16 pmI make handwashing fun by turning it into a game or routine children look forward to. We sing silly songs that last 20 seconds, like “ABC” or a handwashing rhyme, and sometimes turn it into a race against glitter “germs” we pretended to put on our hands. I also let children pick fun soap scents or pretend they’re superheroes washing away “bad guy germs.” Adding music, imagination, and praise makes handwashing both playful and effective.

GuestSeptember 15, 2025 at 12:57 pmmaking a game out of it could be fun for the kids, the germs are the bad guys and the soap gets rid of them to encourage them to think of it as something more fun instead of a chore.

GuestSeptember 15, 2025 at 4:25 pmWe sing a song with our preschoolers while washing hands – it talks about the steps to wash hands and helps them to wash for an appropriate length of time

GuestSeptember 17, 2025 at 2:18 amI usually put a song about washing hands and put a routine about what time we wash our hands and another thing we do is encourage them to wash their hands and then give children a colorful stamp or a sticker.

GuestSeptember 18, 2025 at 8:14 pmI believe that kids work better with a reward plan but singing a song for the process help them to be interested and at the end of the week getting something for being constant and at the end they will do it even with out the reward

GuestSeptember 20, 2025 at 3:30 amOne way I like to make handwashing more engaging for children is by singing a song. I also like to wash my hands at the sink next to them and I notice they follow my modeling.

GuestSeptember 23, 2025 at 12:34 pmTransform handwashing from a chore to a game! Sing a silly song like “Happy Birthday” or the ABCs to ensure a full 20-second scrub. Use fun, foaming soaps in exciting shapes or colors. Try the “glitter germ” experiment: sprinkle glitter on their hands and have them wash it all off to see how germs disappear.

GuestSeptember 24, 2025 at 6:18 pmHandwashing can feel boring to kids, but you can help make it fun by adding music. Timing handwashing along with their favorite songs can help make it more engaging.
