GuestJanuary 16, 2024 at 7:31 pmI know a few children who have had estranged parents, messy relationships and a lack of good parental figures in their lives. It has absolutely made a difference in the way they see the world.

GuestJanuary 18, 2024 at 2:00 amI think that animals are a very effective teaching tool. Most children get excited about animals, and when they help take care of them they gain confidence and develop a sense of responsibility. Additionally, it is calming to spend time with pets.
-
Elizabeth, I agree! Animals are a great teaching tool for building confidence, responsibility, and a sense of calm.

GuestJanuary 18, 2024 at 10:49 pmAnimal can definitely be an effective teaching tool in the classroom! Animals can teach children responsibility, kindness, and trust! I use to have a hamster in my class and the children loved it everyday the first thing they did was go say hi as soon as they entered the class, which also helped make drop off easier especially for children that had some separation anxiety
-
Great insight, Britnie! Animals can teach children valuable lessons in responsibility, kindness, and trust. Introducing animals can also help with separation anxiety.

GuestJanuary 19, 2024 at 7:09 pmAnimals can help students engage in activities because animals to children are usually fun topics that keep them engaged in lessons. If the lessons are boring to the children, they are less likely to listen and pay attention than to lessons that actually interest the children.
-
Kylie, you’re right! Animals can make learning fun and engaging. Teachers should ensure proper care and safety protocols when introducing animals.

They learned alot about preying mantis bugs, and how their bodies worked, how they ate, used there hands and jaws. it was a very interactive addition to our class

Great initiative! Using animals as teaching tools can be effective for hands-on learning. Ensure safety guidelines are followed.

GuestJanuary 28, 2024 at 5:42 amHaving a Pet in the classroom teaches children responsibility, compassion, teamwork, math, science, etc.
I have seen children experimenting firsthand feeding caterpillars, watching them grow, and turning into butterflies. Children learned math skills counting the amount of food they fed the caterpillars as well as counting the days it took them to grow to be butterflies. They learned compassion while they satisfied the needs of the animals (such as grooming, handling the animals with care) and they also learned the importance of these creatures in our environment .

GuestJanuary 30, 2024 at 7:16 amanimals can be an effective teaching tool for children. In my opinion, I believe it teaches children a sense of responsibility to take care of the classroom pet, it teaches them compassion, social skills, and science. The way I would introduce it into the classroom would be by creating a theme and as a classroom creating safety rules for our pets.

GuestJanuary 30, 2024 at 9:12 pmAnimals can be effective teaching tools in many ways. They offer valuable lessons in empathy, responsibility, and the interconnectedness of life. Additionally, observing animal behavior can teach us about adaptation, communication, and cooperation. However, the effectiveness of using animals for teaching depends on the context, the age of the learners, and the specific objectives of the lesson.
