GuestMarch 19, 2024 at 8:18 pmYes !! Yes because I learned the kids are concrete tankers, so it is easy for them to learn, watching them touching them smell them see them on real life instead of having then looking pictures or the videos to understand the animal life.
Tip some examples of animals you can bring or insect can be butterflies worms a ladybugs something that you can’t let go free after you use them for your class or maybe pet that you wanna share with your kids and if something that you can bring safe at home.

Laura, I agree! Live animals can be powerful teaching tools. Great tips on choosing safe, interactive animals for the classroom.

GuestApril 1, 2024 at 6:32 pmI believe Animals are a great teaching tool because it really is something people can engage with. The kids are constantly around the animal and it is known by them. They get to take care of it, watch it, and can actively discuss observations of it. For early learning, this engages them on so many levels.
-
Abi, I agree, animals can engage young learners and promote discussion and observation skills effectively.

GuestApril 8, 2024 at 6:21 pmI believe it is effective to have a pet in the classroom because our children love our fish which means they earn turns to feed him reading him story, they use glasses to look at him.
-
Courtney, it’s great to see how engaged the children are with the pet. Providing responsibilities and incorporating different activities with the pet is a wonderful way to integrate animals into the curriculum.

GuestApril 10, 2024 at 8:27 pmI’m thinking of a child who was raised in a chaotic environment, where adult moods were unpredictable. That child was very reserved in class and took a long time to warm up to teachers and other students
-
Leanne, animals can offer comfort and consistency to children in chaotic environments. Consider pets or therapy animals.

Animals are nice to learn about at any age. I feel they do also add to curriculum and sometimes structure in a child’s life. I grew up in the south as a child. I felt the most connection with animals as a child because of my constantly being around them.
-
Lindsey, I agree. Animals can enhance learning and provide valuable experiences for children.
