I like to start my schedule based around meal times. It helps be structure the day around when the children will want to get the most wiggles out.

There is just something super inspiring about a good block corner! I love to watch the kids imaginations go wild. I would make sure it was in a space that was nurturing, attractive, organized and functional.

I would come into the conversation prepared. I would script and role play with a peer to make sure everything I am saying is sensitive, yet objective. I would make sure I had good documentation, and knew all local resources available. Most importantly I would keep it confidential!

By observing and and documenting a child’s development we can cater our teachings to strengthen what the child needs. It will help us offer quality care a provide a specific learning journey.

I would say creating and area in you center for arts and crafts. If you have multiple media types they can create with it will encourage a serve and return space.

I would first greet the parents and ask about their day? Maybe something more is going on that is causing these consistent late days. Depending on the parents response, I would either just remind them of the policy pick up time or help them work through a plan to make sure they arrive on time for the needs of their child.
