    Creating a schedule is important in creating and maintaining a healthy balance in their learning and development. Daily activies can include, “Reviewing the Calendar, Snack, Nap, Lunch, Recess on the playground, Reading time” etc.

  • Since it is required by WA law to inform parents about their childrens developmental screenings. As it shows the present and future of their development. Approaching the parents should be engaged in a not threatening or abrasive way, and allowing them to share and express. Having the conversation related to their children’s development is crucial in determining the route to success for their children. Showing them their current development and plans for their future growth will show the parents that you do have the best interest of heart.

  • Observing and documenting a child is crucial in identifying the milestones in which the child is at and where to work on for improvement. When you observe you are able to determine the measures on how to form a curriculum based on the child’s needs. A we are able to observe than we are able to formulate how to document the needed information to map our their progress and figure out how to advance from there.

    I would hear out the family member as I know certain things in their current life situation may be hindering them from picking them up on time. With having them express their reasoning it is still important to meet them where they are at, if there is a late policy it would be good to kindly explain to them what that means. Having a clear line of communication is extremely important when it comes to the pick up of a child. If the parent is running late there should be a heads up to the staff so they can prepare as needed.
