Such as having hands-on learning, active listening learning, or reading. Providing different ways to approach an activity is great for those students who learn and different ways and paces. It’s important to include all students so that they can actively engage in these activities.

This allows your students to understand what is expected when completing these different activities throughout the days and it will help them get used to the schedule that you have set for them.

It also helps them understand how they can adjust their own curriculum or lesson to best fit the students needs. Some of their programs may also need these observational records for their own purposes of seeing the growth that student makes throughout the year. So it can be a manner of keeping record of how the student is doing overall and if they need an intervention or just a little guidance.

If the center does have that agreement signed by Mrs. Hopkins I would ask her if I can have a moment to speak to her. My tone would be calm and collected. I’d first recognize and understand that it can be difficult to make it on time due to different circumstances. But it’s also important to understand that our center has an agreement that she signed stating that she would pick up her child at this time. I’d let Mrs. Hopkins express what is making her late and validate her emotions at the moment. I would then voice that if it comes to a point in time where she does it again we would have to charge her a fee due to our policy. But if we can adjust and accommodate to her schedule then we can also do that. After the whole conversation I would thank and appreciate Mrs. Hopkins for hearing me out and explaining to me what is making her late and how she feels at the moment.
