First I would welcome the parents to the center. I would highlight our evacuation plans, showing them where the fire exits are.

I would talk to my supervisor about my concerns and ask for guiadance to ensure I follow the correct steps.

Offering hand on activities, playing music and asking them questions. If you are doing an art activity offering a varity of materials.

Having structured routines, meal times are consitent and offering both calm, indoor and outdoor activities thoughout the day.

An environment that is organized, nuturing and functional. Where everyone feels safe, welcomed and happy to be there.

Prepare what you want to share, practice with a co-worker. Also prepare yourself that parents might be sensative to the feedback. Begin by mentioning positive insights about the child prior to addressing the concerns. Have good observations/documentations ready to be shared with parents.

By knowing this they are able to provide intentional curriculum/ activites to help with the child’s development. By documenting they are able to communicate with parents as well and track the childs progress.

I think it is good to have limited screen time for children, I think we should encourage children to interact with eachother and playing. I think playing outside or inside with toys help with their social skills and development.
