    If I were to create and maintain a daily schedule I would keep it structured but still be able to allow for adjustments. I would also take into consideration how many activities I planned on doing. I would want the children to be actively engaged but not have too many activities or time constraints that would make them feel overwhelmed.

    The environment should be clean, cozy, inviting, safe, and welcoming. The play areas should be engaging for all kids. It is good to have stations that promote and encourage fine motor skills, creativity, and talking to help develop language.

    Some good ways to approach a parent about the developmental screening of their child is by having good documentation of the observation and knowledge of the child’s development so you can confidently share the collected data with the parents knowing that it is evidence and not opinions.

    WAC 110-300-0085 states that early childhood programs need to support diversity communities.
