Personally, I think one of the best ways to create a good learning environment for early learners is to expose them to a lot of arts and crafts activities. Engaging kids with craft is an extremely effective way of promoting their holistic development. It makes them more calm, confident, skilled and also opens doors for the imaginative minds. Every early learning classroom needs to have craft kits. They are fun, experimental and very convenient to get your hands on. I mean what’s not to like about the idea of letting the tiny tots have fun while learning.

Absolutely, childhood experiences have a huge impact on our attitudes as we grow up.When I was around ten years old, I entered a storytelling competition at my school. I was super excited because I loved writing and had poured my heart into crafting a story. But on the day of the competition, I stumbled over my words, forgot parts of the story, and ended up feeling embarrassed and defeated. At the time, I was devastated. But looking back, I realise that experience taught me some valuable lessons. It taught me resilience. Instead of giving up, I worked harder and continued to write.

If parents are running late to pick up their kid, I’d just hang out with them, maybe play a game to keep them engaged. It’s not wise to play the blame game and get irritated with the parents since they might have something important which keeps them from arriving on time. If it keeps happening, I’d chat with the parents but calmly about making a backup plan or finding a better pick-up time. Gotta keep it calm and make sure the kiddo feels comfy until their ride shows up.
