My favorite age to work with would have to be the Pre-Kindergardeners; ages 4-5. This is because the children are at the stage where they are more aware of who they are and are more aware of their surroundings. They’re very enjoyable to work with, since they listen (most of the time) and are very intuitive and love answering and asking questions.

Families are the primary educators of their children because children look up to their parents for guidance and for knowledge. A teacher may teach a child a certain thing about school, but families teach their children about themselves and their lives. Children providers can talk with families about their children, encouraging them to share information that could benefit their child’s development. 3 Supporting families is important because they need help to raise their child when they are at work. They also need to stay informed about their child’s development and this helps them work out difficulties with their relationship with their child as well.
