How are families primary educators of their children? How can childcare providers support families in this role?

These are incredibly important questions. Research indicates that family involvement in education has a profound impact on student achievement. So, what do you think families can do to be more involved in their children’s education, and how do we as child care providers support families in this role?

Families are primary educators because kids look up to their parents the most and look for guidance. They also spend a lot of time at home with their parents. we can try and help support their values and build off of them.3 It is important to support the family so it provides a consistent environment and so we don’t contradict what is going on at home.

families are the primary educators for children because they spend usually the most time with them, so they are constantly learning how to interact with others and how to do things. childcare providers can help by doing things similar to what the children experience at home. supporting families is super important because it makes the child feel at “home” and it makes their learning experiences transition smoothly. if both the families and the childcare providers are on the same page, the child should feel comfortable and learn a lot.

Families would be the primary educators of children because as children grow and develop they tend to mimic the behavior of the adults around them. Overall a child will spend the most time with their family and as a result will learn more through observing them than anyone else. Childcare providers can support this role by observing the child’s progression through development milestones and sharing this information with the family whenever possible and applicable. As mentioned above, families are the primary educator for most children and by supporting them we are helping to strengthen the quality of “education” that the child gets from their family.

. How can childcare providers support families in this role? Why is supporting families so important? If we were to look at raising children like we were observing a play, we’d have the child as the main character and the family members as several other individuals that have primary roles. The service providers would be more like the supporting cast and chorus in this play. If the child is the main character in the play going through the most growth and story line development, then the parents are there to serve as guides, conduits, and people who carry special roles in teaching, observing, and helping the child grow through consequences. But the supportive cast is also so important because those providers are like the objective, third person perspective not directly involved in family dynamics, one degree removed, who can hopefully look at the internal family structures and see patterns, dilemmas, solutions, and provide overall background accompaniment to really embody this play fully.

I think families are primary educators because they create the environment in which their child grows and develops starting from birth, outside of the classroom. They help the child reach milestones (whether they realize it or not, provide building blocks into the beliefs and understanding their child has and become the main caregiver/person they look to for advice/support/help from their very first problems at infancy.

Childcare providers can support families in this role through conversations about the development and growth of their child. Celebrating the reach of milestones, sharing the observations they have regarding the specific areas of development and also sharing any insight or tips that could help them positively. Never be too pushy on ideas or implementing classroom techniques at home, as that is our job as caregivers to create the best learning environment. But helping parents through learning suggestions, answering questions and encouraging them in the hardest job any of us have by being parents.

3 Supporting families is important because it will help expand and build a trusting and respectful relationship with the family. When they feel supported, they are more open to suggestions or ideas. They will ask questions and in some cases become more involved with the classroom. But most importantly the children will feed off of how the parents feel about the teacher or caregivers. If the parents trust and respect you, the kids will do the same. Just as if they have an issue with you or not feeling supported, the children may also withdraw and not trust.

Families set the stage for children’s social and academic success by giving them basic skills, knowledge, attitudes, and feelings about themselves as learners. The quality of the home environment in the early years of a child’s life has a powerful and long-lasting impact on how and what children should learn. How can childcare providers support families in this role?By helping their children grow in their development with the activities and modeling that is done in the classroom. Why is supporting families so important?Supporting families is so important because they are the primary educators; what we do should supplement what they are learning at home

.How can childcare providers support families in this role? Why is supporting families so important? Families are where the child first wakes up and last closes their eyes. These people love, teach and nurture them from day and they know how they would liked them raised. How can childcare providers support families in this role? We can support by respecting their wishes and listening to how the child is raised at home and give that care to them now.3 Why is supporting families so important? Again that is the first and last environment the child is in and if we truly care for these children we will want to support a healthy environment.

Families are primary educators of their children because everything children learn depends on the context provided by their families. Children do this mostly by observing what their parents do, their environment, interactions, and activities. They learn feelings, skills, knowledge, and attitudes about learning this way. Childcare providers can support families in this role by not taking credit for their child’s development and helping the parents in their experiences and share with the parents the important milestones the children experience.3 Supporting families is so important because it is difficult to raise a child and it is important to make sure everyone feels supported.

Families are the bottom line when it comes to making decisions about their child, that includes education. Though the children will be spending a lot of time at school, they will be spending most of their time with family. The strongest and most important bonds in a child’s life are also rooted in mainly, another reason for them to be there primary educators. With a thorough understanding of the damily’s culture, beliefs, and childcare style, we providers will better understand how to support their child in development.3 A family that is confident in the support they’re receiving will be better able to raise their child. If the family and childcare providers are reinforcing the same messages and lessons, those ideas are more likely to take root in the child.

Families are the primary educators of children because they tend to be around the kids the most. They are there during the hardest times in the child’s life. The children’s knowledge mainly comes from what their parents tell them.

Support the families by acknowledging the family values and expectations. Remember that the parents are the ‘experts’ about their child.

Supporting the families is important because it means supporting the child in your care. The child is a product of it’s environment in the early stage of life and the parents are just as important in the process as care givers.

Kids often imitate what their families do.

Kids spend a lot of time at home and they are influenced by what they see and learn from the behavior, culture and patterns followed at home. Children trust their family more than anybody else and as such, families are the primary educators of their children

. How can child care providers support families in this role?

We try to extend the knowledge they initiate at home in an environment of love and discipline. We always take time to talk to the families to know what method they follow with their child to achieve certain goals for that age and try to incorporate it in class so the kids are not too confused and have a common way of learning

Why is supporting families so important?

Supporting families is important as it provides consistency for the child and provides security for all parties involved
