Families are where kids often find their values, religion, and sense of self. It is also where they learn a lot of their vocabulary and practice speech. Childcare providers can learn what the families goals for their child’s development are and also share information they have on how best to support the child in their developmental stage.3 Supporting families is incredibly important because they are important members of the team when it comes to support a child’s development.
