  • What did you discover about the WACs while completing the activity?
  • I discovered specifications on water temperature (120 degrees), outdoor gate needs a self closing mechanism, diaper changing area must be 8 feet from where bottles and food are prepared and other specifications the State requires.

  • Were you surprised by any of the WACs?
  • I was surprised to learn that volunteers can be as young as 14 years old, also that children in home centers can be around pets.

  • Can you see how the WACs will influence your day-to-day practice in caring for children? Why or why not?

  • Yes, it will influence my day-to-day practice in caring for children because it is State mandated and I want to be in compliance with all rules and regulations.
