I’m new to early learning and don’t really have a favorite age yet. I was drawn to this field because I love spending time with the babies and toddlers. There is so much going on in terms of development in the first few years. Its just so exciting to see this growth and be apart of the warm nurturing environment children need to flourish.

Families are primary educators of their children because children spend most of their time with their family and look up to close family members as their primary role models. Families are where kids often find their values, religion, and sense of self. It is also where they learn a lot of their vocabulary and practice speech. Childcare providers can learn what the families goals for their child’s development are and also share information they have on how best to support the child in their developmental stage.3 Supporting families is incredibly important because they are important members of the team when it comes to support a child’s development. The supports a family gives to their child are instrumental when it comes to that child’s healthy development.
