I think caregivers can practice serve and return by staying present with the children whenever possible, and naming objects and toys that the children present to the instructors.

Sometimes bringing up the issue is enough to let someone know that they need to work on addressing it. If this continues to happen further conversations might be needed.

The WAC 110-300-0030 on nondiscrimination says:”that early learning programs are defined by state law as places of public accommodation that must: (a) not discriminate in employment practices or client services based on race, creed, color, national origin, sex, honorably discharged veteran or military status, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or ability.
WAC 110-300-0085 states that early learning providers must communicate with families to identify individual children’s development goals.
These rules help support diverse cultures and collaboration between teachers and families.
The WACS have big messages on encouraging diversity in the classroom though activities and encouraging children to see the benefit in diversity in other from a young age.
It might be cool to have typical instruments from different regions of the world to play songs in different languages as a learning material.
