I would want a safe nurturing environment. Honesty and good communication. Helping my child find their own individual voice.
I would be afraid of my child being neglected, bullied or views, opinions and ideas forced on him.

Asking simple open ended questions that get the kids interested. Why questions are always good. and What do you think if… it also depends on the age of the children.

I would start by saying I noticed that you have been late frequently. I would than ask if everything is ok or if there was a reason why she was so late. If she seemed like she didn’t care about being late, I would let her know how it was not convenient for me and that there will be charges for a late fee or talk about finding another provider if she was disrespectful. If she was genuine and truly had good reasons, I would try my best to accommodate or help her with recourses if necessary.
