My go to way to relieve stress is to go for a walk and listen to an audio book. I like to just get away and be by myself. If I cannot do that I go upstairs and mediate and listen to relaxing music.

I started taking hula lessons once a week. I feel so refreshed after moving my body while listening to Hawaiian music.

I love to meditate but don’t usually have the time to a full meditation so I make sure to do small 2-5 minute mini meditations throughout the day. I also love to journal in the mornings before work which is meditative in its own way.

Music is my destressor when I need to process what is in my mind and I use music in the classroom to help with student stress. When I need to talk about it, I go to my two best friends for venting and advice when I am stressed. I do not put it on social media, I am very private with my personal life. I stay professional on social media.

when I need a break from the routine, I take a moment to read to the students, teach them little bits of German or just turn on the classical music to change the mood in the center. Most of the chaos occurs when parents pick up and want to chat which causes less attention to the students and students pick up on that and it can be a little more chaotic as a result. we also do random dress up dance where the students take turns on the stage and they love that. if I become overly stressed, I walk away and let someone else take over and I do a different job for a bit.

Karah, these are great stress-busting techniques! Incorporating music, dance, and small breaks helps maintain a positive atmosphere for both you and the children.

ways that i manage my stress (on my own time) is to listen to music, take a shower or sometimes step outside and take a few deep breaths of fresh air

I usually use music as a method to calm myself and if music is not available sometimes I try to stop right when I feel like I’m going to be overwhelmed and started to think positive about the situation

I like to bake when I’m stressed, also like to go outside and take in nature. I have picked up some bad ways to handle my stress which I have been working on changing into better healthier habits.

When working with children and things are stressful, we take a moment to get our wiggles out either by a quick video, song or something like that to get the bodies moving and the minds in a different light. Sometimes we clean up and head outside.

I really enjoy listening to calming music. It is different for each person, but I prefer classical or mellow music. I also am ok taking a walk. Sometimes I just need a moment to clear my head. It often helps to get away from everything just for a few moments. Last, I brain storm. picking the top problem, and working on that by listing a bunch of ideas, then picking 2-3 to try
