Working with children is very rewarding and very emotional work. Are there any techniques you’ve found to release stress?

So far the only technique I know about is deep breathing and meditation.

There are a few simple activities that may help: taking a walk, cuddling with a pet, or even turning up the music and dancing like no one is watching.

Listening to music, talking a walk away from the situation to breathe and calm down, going into the bathroom for a few minutes and taking breathes stepping outside to get fresh air

I like to take walks during my break to feel refreshed and ready to take on the second half of my day. I also listen to podcasts to give my mind a break from children activities. Getting myself a little treat, whether it be a coffee or chocolate bar, helps me de-stress as well.

Taking Deep breaths. Small stims like squeezing my hands together and clenching and unclenching by my sides. Listening to instrumental music.

Ways that I reduce my stress while at work is breathing or seeing if I can step away for a moment. depending on what I am doing, if I change directions and work on another activity and come back to what was frustrating for me after I calmed down it is much more helpful. After a stressful day I like to relax and read as well.

Building a strong work-life balance ,eating a healthy balance diet, include exercise and walk regularly because it releases stress hormone, monitoring sleep pattern and especially healthy friendship outside the work

A great way to relieve stress after a rough day is to sing very loudly in your car.

This is one of my VERY favorite activities. Sing loudly with your students during the day and watch for the immediate change.

I usually have to take deep breaths, sometimes I do the things around me technique to distract myself and when I get home from a stressful day, I like to talk to my boyfriend about why I was stressed out and get it off of my chest and I like to pet my cat or play with her and make her chase her laser pointer because it makes me laugh. Animals are a great companion to have.

Good skills and techniques. Be careful not to reveal any personal details of children or other people when venting to keep confidentiality.

While at work, making sure to take my break ( just for a few minutes help me be ready to go back and be recharged). When at home, taking a walk with my my dog, exercising, reading, listening to music or hot shower helps a ton.
