What I do to reduce my stress at work I take breaks, I do deep breathing exercises, I walk, and if I have time I listen to music.

Deep breathing, listening to relaxing soothing music and taking a break from children intentionally when you think you are unable to manage the stress. Dancing and exercising with children too help with reducing the stress.

When working with a difficult child, I find it best to slow down and name your personal issue (I’m really overwhelmed right now and could use a 5 minute break) and then offer the child to do the same, with or without prompting and guidance (as developmentally appropriate).

Working with children is very rewarding and very emotional work. Are there any techniques you’ve found to release stress?

I have found that through sensing my body, being aware of facial expression, the tone in my voice, all helps to check my stress, and to manage it accordingly. Other ways are drinking a warm chamomile tea, not being to hard on myself, and doing the best that I can be. Another way to relieve stress, is taking a walk during my break time, or going off the site for a minute to recollect myself, sit by a tree, and journal while drinking water or tea, and then return after my break. That is an ideal setting.

I was lucky that my school is only 10 10-minute walk from my house. I like to walk to work which helps me gather my thoughts for the day and when I walk home I take that 10 minutes to destress myself and clear out the mess in my brain. Listening to music and watching a silly movie on a day off. Don’t bring work home. On the spot when I am dealing with a child, I would take a deep breath and count to 10 before I move on. Ask a coworker to take over and come back to it.

I think the job itself has it’s pulls and its pushes, it can be very draining but at the same time it’s so worth it because you get such a beautiful reward.

Breathing deep breaths of fresh air. A quick brisk walk to get my heart pumping. Favorite music that makes me smile. Positive mental attitude. Laughter

Navigating the ups and downs, the great challenges and magical joys of life can be quite difficult and exhausting. I’ve found that managing stress begins with the basics: getting plenty of rest, eating nutritious meals, staying hydrated, and regularly moving my body. I aim for daily walks and yoga, and because I really love being in the water, I swim at least once a week. I also meditate, practice various breathing techniques, as well as other techniques to bring me back to my body in moments of overwhelm. This could look like pushing my feet into the ground, tapping or rubbing my heart space, or squeezing my arms, legs, or hands. A vast and varied toolbox allows me to adapt to the environment or situation at hand. Lastly, I deeply value my community and rely on these loved ones to fill my cup and support me, to celebrate those joys and help hold or move through challenges. Remember, there isn’t a problem that you haven’t been able to solve yet, and that all of life’s hardships occur right alongside the beautiful bits; observe and allow space for both. Wishing everyone all the best!

I pray, talk to God, listen to worship music and asses myself to make sure I’m not hungry, thirsty or tired.

when in the classroom I sometimes will take a deep breath then distract the kids with an easy activity so I can take a second for myself to calm down. At home I will just lay on the couch and turn on a good show with a glass of wine haha.

take a moment to just breath, step back and breath. I do thing where I will tap my fingers a few times to kind of reengage in and approach the situation differently.

To release my stress is to talk to a dear friend, running, listening to a relaxing instrumental music, listening to a waves or anything sounds of a water.
