In the classroom, to manage my stress I will put on calming music or I will step outside. I find cleaning calming so sometimes I will clean to help my nerves.

Some of the best stress relievers I have is to get my body moving through walking or yoga. Also listening to music or reading and talking with someone else.

I like to be in a quiet, comfortable area. Like my bedroom with dim lights. I listen to music and close my eyes and breathe.

Deep breathing is great at the moment. I also have asked other teachers to step in for me when I am feeling stressed and need a minute away from the classroom. At home, journaling is a great tool to get emotions out.

To release stress from working with children, techniques such as regular physical exercise, mindfulness practices, and deep breathing exercises can be highly effective. Engaging in hobbies, seeking support from colleagues or a counselor, and maintaining a balanced work-life routine also help manage stress. These strategies can improve emotional well-being and sustain a positive and effective caregiving approach.
