MemberApril 15, 2025 at 2:21 amI am a list person and have found the better me app to be very helpful. When laundry needs to be done I put it in before work and then dry it when I get home and do a quick 15 minute clean up in the morning before work and right before bed. Having a clean home makes me feel less stressed. I am trying to work on working out and exercising more whether it be 10 minutes or 30 minutes anything I think helps.

MemberApril 17, 2025 at 11:59 pmWorking with children can be stressful. It is important to feel that stress and recognize when you are feeling stressed. You never want to take your stress out on the children you are working with. Communicate with your team about how you are feeling and how they can support you. Take a break outside of the classroom to decompress and come back when you are feeling less stressed.
-
Great insights, Mikaela! Acknowledging stress and seeking support are crucial for maintaining a positive environment for both educators and children.

Yes, when I feel stressed, I take a few deep breaths, step outside for fresh air if I can, or listen to music on my break. Talking to a trusted coworker also helps. Even small moments of calm can make a big difference in resetting my mindset.

One of the best ways to relieve stress is taking my breaks to go over everything that has happened mentally, and remember the reason I chose this field, I repeat it as a sort of mantra which helps me reinstate those beliefs and continue working to do my best.
-
Great insight, Mikayla! Using mantras to refocus is a powerful stress relief technique in this rewarding field.
