MemberApril 2, 2024 at 6:04 pmHow you set up your room is everything. The children feel ownership and feel welcomed. I worked in a center where it looked like Pottery Barn. The center used the Amelia Reggio approach. The whole center was like that. It was beautifully-done and it made a world of difference in how the children treated the environment.

Some components of a good early learning environment should consist of areas where children can get creative. I think that imaginative play, and self expression should both be things available for children to access. Somewhere safe, fun, and welcoming. There should be activities/ toys and worksheets where children can access them at their own height.

Personally, I think one of the best ways to create a good learning environment for early learners is to expose them to a lot of arts and crafts activities. Engaging kids with craft is an extremely effective way of promoting their holistic development. It makes them more calm, confident, skilled and also opens doors for the imaginative minds. Every early learning classroom needs to have craft kits. They are fun, experimental and very convenient to get your hands on. I mean what’s not to like about the idea of letting the tiny tots have fun while learning.

Components that make a good early learning center are being well planned, nurturing, where I feel welcome and inspired

MemberApril 23, 2024 at 11:41 pmComponents of a good early learning environment would include:
Everything neatly organized and divided by centers
The shelves, tables and chairs should be the children’s height so they are easily accessible
All equipment should be short enough so that the teacher can monitor the safety of the children at all times
Have activities that are engaging to all different kinds of children
The activities should be stimulating and encourage the child’s growth
