Biggest fear in the US right now: gun violence and mental health crisis(homeless and drug addicted population is near by) How do you talk to 4 year olds about something horrific like that, without scaring and scarring them?

My biggest concern in this generation right now would be gun violence and mental health. Hearing all of the events occurring it grows a concern for my child’s safety. Discussing mental health is also a concern because it is a larger topic in todays age I am afraid they will have poor mental health because of negativity that surrounds them.

Sometimes I worry that I may not be able to satisfy every single child’s needs in my classroom. Depending on the child and classroom, we may have a few children that need extra support. Whether it may be special needs or behavioral, etc. It can be hard to make sure even the good kids are given attention and know they are safe when we have to give the other children more attention. I wish I was a superhero in these cases, where I could have a million hands to help all of the children in the classroom.

In the classroom: Aggressive child and bully.

Playground: Play structure and toys maintenance

School in General: Security, especially after those shootings.

For older kids, internet- safety and drugs.

In addition to that, for healthy , I am worry about what they eat and the ones that have severe allergies.

There are certain factors that pose risks to the lives of children like random shootings that takes place often. Its scary for me even to think or read about those kinds of incidents. So I always think and feel how can we make a safer and better place for all children .
