Some of my main concerns are safety (as several people mentioned below, school shootings have been increasingly more common in the United States) and impacts from the current social climate. It is difficult to raise children in a time where a lot of difficult things are happening every day. I worry about the mental and emotional health of adults and their children.

My biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe is that at some point a child will fall hard & is severely injured, I hope this never happens, but I worry that if I take my eyes off the kids for one second something may happen like that.

My biggest worry about keeping children safe in the world we live in is the outside dangers that have now made their way into schools and buildings with many children. The drills that are done are scary for children and the things they see on the media in various ways.

My biggest worry would be keeping them safe on the playground. Kids love to run and explore, and they will get hurt once in a while. We want them to have fun running and climbing, but also sometimes we need to remind them when we feel it is not safe.

By far my greatest worry is that something negligent happens in my care, or a child is injured because of my actions. With this in mind, remaining hypervigilant is important to me.

One of my concerns in maintaining a healthy and safe environment for children is the possibility of becoming momentarily distracted while assisting one child, which could result in another child engaging in unsafe behavior—such as eating paste or cutting their own hair. This highlights the importance of maintaining constant supervision and creating a well-structured environment that minimizes risks and supports the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.

My biggest worry is making sure I don’t overlook small hazards. For example, things like choking risks, unsafe toys, or allergens that could quickly turn into serious issues, especially with a busy group of kids. I want to be confident that I’m aware and prepared for every situation, even the unexpected ones.I’m most interested in learning simple, effective systems to prevent accidents and illness (like routines for cleaning, supervising, and organizing the environment.) I also want to know more about what to do in emergencies and how to recognize signs of illness early.

My biggest worry about keeping children safe is not being able to protect all of the children if the school or facility is targeted by a dangerous or violent person. I can only control what happens in my classroom not what people outside of it decide to do and that scares me especially when these acts have become so common.
