    My points of view:

As Early Childhood Education Professional, It is important for me to be open-minded when working with children and their families, and to accept each family’s uniqueness. I should create a Bias free, safe and comfortable environment for Children supporting their diversities. Also as a Professional , we need to recognize the complexities and challenges that families might face, and try to seek positive solutions and resources.

    STATEMENTS

    1. A multicultural education curriculum should be in place in every school.

Strongly agree. I think that everyone should be well educated and due to experience I don’t believe everyone is. I think a great way to start is by having every school have something like that for kids to learn

    1. Families should not be expected to be involved in classroom activities.

Disagree. I think including the families is amazing but also I feel like it should be expected if the family is able to make it happen.

    1. All learning programs should accommodate all children with special needs. Agree. If able to have the resources to accommodate all children with the correct support. Why wouldn’t you want to include them. I know that some places just don’t have the staffing or access to the resources needed but I still think that it should be something that people try.

    1. Some extended family members may confuse children, so they should not have a voice in raising or educating the child.

Agree and Disagree. It depends on the topic and situation

    1. My curriculum should be based on each individual child’s current interests.

Agree. but I also think that incorporating things like cultural topics is beneficial. If you can teach it in a way that kids will engage in and learn from, then that’s how I would do it.

    1. Diversity definitely includes race and culture, but doesn’t include age, ability or family make-up.

Strongly disagree. All of it makes up everything to do with the child!

    1. Media in general delivers fair and accurate accounts of events around the country.

Disagree. I think that the media puts out what people want to see and I think it is swayed for what the audience would like to read about. Like how it is worded or the tone of the news.

    1. The United States should discontinue relations with countries that engage in human rights violations. I have mixed feelings on this one and I would prefer not to answer.

I would ask them about where they are coming from and there customs at home. I would also introduce them to other people that i feel like would make them comfortable and keep checking in with them and get to know there parents at pickup.
