I think it is possible for us to change our views, but it could be hard and take time especially if those views were implanted in our brains for so long. Experiences and things you go through in life could cause someone to change their perspective.

As a professional, we need to invite other cultures and talk about various aspects of the culture by celebrating their festivals etc., Language is very important in addressing their culture. Welcoming a newly immigrated child in their home language easily puts the child at ease.
