Guidance policies would be useful in times of anything medical-related, emergency evacuation, and any incidents.

The guidelines might be useful, but it all depends on the staff and who adheres to the guidelines. I’ve seen and heard the awful ways that adults in program speak to and treat children, and I’ve had to report such incidents.

Yes, so they can always be referred to if there are questions and can be shared with families.

There are many ways written guidance policies would be useful, such as if there was an accident (potty, change of clothes, the child got injured, etc), if there is an illness, any emergencies, and much more.

Childcare programs’ written policies are helpful in many situations, like emergencies, health and safety, behavior management, communication with families, and staff training. They provide clear guidelines for staff to follow, ensuring consistency and promoting safety and professionalism in the program.

I think in instances of emergency, or otherwise keeping kids safe it is important to have those guidelines and techniques available to reference. especially when trying to keep kids being safe with each other since they’re together all day, and emotions, and accidents can and will happen.

Ethan, I agree. Written guidelines are crucial for ensuring children’s safety and managing emotions in childcare settings.

In a lot of areas that pertain to safety and to what keeps children engaged and feeling welcomed like proper toys and plans for allergies and other things

It’s great that you agree, but can you give an example of when the policies would be useful?

no i believe every center should have a guideline that should be followed , as far as what the employees wear and how our team and center is looked at to new families wanting to enroll or families who are interested to learn more.
