MemberApril 3, 2023 at 8:16 amObserving the challenges I usually face in my center, I think having very specific guidelines for how to approach those challenges could be useful. I have 3-5 year olds with big feelings and not enough appropriate responses, if I could as their teacher offer them appropriate responses to their emotions, that would greatly influence how I react to my students during my work.

The guidelines should be written and be followed by all staff members.

I think childcare programs written guidance policies would be useful when dealing with unexpected emergencies with serious injuries.

MemberApril 16, 2023 at 7:09 pmYes, written out but simple step-by-step policies being displayed as a reminder for what to do during emergency situations may be helpful to look at as a reminder, or less-simplified versions hanging up in the bathroom for diapering, notices about food safety by meal areas, etc; are three places I think displaying policies would be helpful in the child care center.

yes, that way when you are dealing with rewards/or punishment it follows how the school is run and there is no room for error.
