juego de roles, donde cada niño deba realizar algo, tambien por medio de compatencias en donde no va a ver ganador ni perdedor solamente que los niños participen, con musica, con imagenes que lleven al niño a preguntarse el porque de su nombre

One thing to help the child engage is by engaging with them personally, if they are coloring ask them to name what they are coloring, if they are playing with kitchen toys ask them what food items they are using. Use thought provoking questions that are relatable to the activity they are participating in.

I think that if you can find what a child is curious about and offer them the chance to explore that curiosity you can create meaningful learning opportunities. As well as learning in ways that are meaningfully connected to their environment and daily life and the world around them. And you can incorporate activities and lessons that explore that area of interest in many different ways to help them learn and understand. Such as if your class takes a field trip to a pumpkin patch in the fall and the kids are really excited about the farm. You can read stories about the pumpkin patch, play matching games with types of animals, play counting games with cut-outs of pumpkins, dramatic play activities where you invite the kids to pretend they are a farmer in the pumpkin patch, and so on.

Some activities that would get children to engage are doing activities at circle time , doing arts and crafts and have them explain to you what they’re making or what they’re coloring , playing house with Al the children having them explain to me who they are and what they’re doing

  • Use game-like elements, like quizzes and crosswords, to keep students engaged and motivated. Gamification can also help students learn more effectively by providing immediate feedback and rewards for their progress.

you can always incorporate the childs interests into learning. if a child is always wanting to build with blocks you can count, add, and subtract blocks from towers for math or you can use them to shape different letters for words. a little observation and a touch of creativity can get any child engaged.

To get kids engaged in activities teachers need to provide a variety of learning materials and equipment that are safe, fun, open-ended, encourages creativity, can be used independently and build on social opportunities, can be adjusted to challenge the child’s skills and meet individual needs, and supports sensory experiences.

Engaging children in active, meaningful learning can be a fun and rewarding experience. Here are some creative ways to do so:

    1. Hands-on experiments and projects: Provide opportunities for children to explore scientific concepts through hands-on experiments and projects. For example, creating a mini volcano with baking soda and vinegar or conducting simple kitchen chemistry experiments.
    2. Outdoor exploration: Take learning outdoors by organizing nature walks, scavenger hunts, or gardening activities. Encourage children to observe, ask questions, and interact with their environment.
    3. Role-playing and dramatic play: Set up dramatic play areas where children can pretend to be doctors, firefighters, chefs, or any other role that interests them. This allows them to engage in imaginative play while learning about different professions and social roles.
    4. Art and creativity: Offer a variety of art materials and encourage children to express themselves creatively through painting, drawing, sculpting, and collage. Use art as a medium for exploring concepts such as color mixing, texture, and composition.
    5. Storytelling and puppetry: Use storytelling and puppetry to captivate children’s imaginations and teach valuable lessons. Encourage children to create their own stories and act them out using puppets or props.
    6. Music and movement: Incorporate music and movement activities into daily routines to promote physical fitness, coordination, and self-expression. Encourage children to dance, sing, play musical instruments, and participate in group music-making activities.
    7. Cooking and nutrition: Involve children in cooking and baking activities to teach them about nutrition, measurement, and food preparation skills. Encourage them to explore new foods and flavors while learning about healthy eating habits.
    8. Technology and multimedia: Use age-appropriate educational apps, interactive websites, and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences. Incorporate technology into activities such as virtual field trips, coding games, or digital storytelling projects.
    9. Community connections: Bring in guest speakers, organize field trips, or invite community members to share their expertise with the children. This helps broaden their horizons and connect learning to real-world experiences.
    10. Project-based learning: Plan long-term projects that allow children to explore a topic of interest in depth. Encourage them to ask questions, conduct research, collaborate with peers, and present their findings in creative ways.

Get the children moving! Then once they’re going, start asking questions like “how many jumps, how many lunges, how many skips to get from here to there?” Then as more children join along, start to ask questions like “how many side-steps will it take John to get from the bench to the ball?” They can all start guessing and counting along.
