GuestApril 25, 2025 at 3:15 pmOne of my time savers is knowing where the drinking fountains are located throughout the area that’s near to me. It removes the need for the children to have to take their water bottles with them when they go, which relieves the responsibility for caring for them. Water breaks are taken throughout the walks to play areas available at the several locations of drinking fountains.
-
Great idea, Douglas! Knowing the location of drinking fountains is a smart way to streamline activities and keep children hydrated.

GuestApril 25, 2025 at 3:33 pmI use intentional teaching in the infant classroom. When i come to the day with a plan, the day goes smoother. I get more done and i dont forget to do little daily tasks. I try to start my morning strong and complete as many daily tasks as i can early. This gives me more time to focus on the infants.
-
Great insights, Yvonne! Intentional planning truly enhances our effectiveness, allowing for deeper connections with the infants. Keep it up!

GuestApril 28, 2025 at 5:27 pmgetting things prepared the day/night before i actually need them is a lifesaver for me! not having to run around frantically trying to get things prepared WHILE i teach or use them is an immediate stress saver, as well as time saver.

Great insight, Kennedy! Preparation truly transforms our teaching experience, allowing us to focus more on our little learners.

GuestMay 5, 2025 at 5:48 pmI like having my week or month planned out before. Daily tasks can be used with a checklist. For example: Every morning I shower, brush my teeth, get ready, and feed myself as well as my dog. For tasks that need to be done all at once checklists are good ways to make sure everything gets done and you dont miss anything.

GuestMay 15, 2025 at 6:47 pmThe one thing that helps me is to make sure to start out in a clean and organized space as soon as I get here. So, I spend the extra time in the evening cleaning and organizing for the next day, so it is ready to go for each activity. I also use timers for snacks and mealtimes of when I need to start them, but I usually have lunch ready to go before the kids arrive to make those meals go smooth.
-
Great strategies, Janet! A clean space and meal prep really set the tone for a productive day. Keep it up!

GuestJune 18, 2025 at 6:30 pmMy main hack is to have everything ready to go and laid out the night before. That ways in the morning I have time to plan ahead for future days. It’s always good to be planned ahead, so I am not caught off guard if something comes up that will take my original planning time away.

GuestJune 19, 2025 at 1:26 pmWe have cleaning checklists for our classroom on a weekly basis. It helps so much if I incorporate the cleaning tasks into lessons of play with the children and we make a fun cleaning play task out of the underlining goal. Pretending that the blocks are dishes that we have to scrub with soap and water and rinse and lay out to dry! “Boom!” I just got all of the block toys cleaned and everyone felt like an important part of that task and I just got all the cleaning done for that day! Also, I could assess this activity as Pretend Play, Collaborating with Peers. If I can’t get the students interested in the cleaning task, I will block out only 30 min. of time during quiet rest time to finish. I will not allow myself to go over the 30 min. I have five work days so 30 min per day is really good and that is if I cannot delegate the task to students or an extra classroom support teacher.

GuestJune 26, 2025 at 8:22 pmWHEN I ARRIVE EARLY IT GIVES ME THAT EXTRA TIME TO TAKE CARE OF IMPORTANT TASKS AND IT IS ALSO A MOMENT A QUIET SO I CAN GET THESE THINGS DONE

GuestJune 28, 2025 at 11:23 pmOne of my time saving tricks is getting other teachers involved in the activities I plan. When children see their teachers working together as a team it teaches them what can be accomplished when they work together with their peers. Leaving more time for other fun activities.

GuestJuly 4, 2025 at 3:27 amone day i knew it was going to be a beautiful day. We spent the majority of the time outside. It was also the last day i had some littles who were going to be with me, so I pre ordered a pizza to be delivered during our lunch time the day before. In doing this, we didn’t have to go inside so I cstart making lunch, and we got to enjoy a picnic outside!
