We have a monthly in person meeting where everyone can share ideas. The meeting is after work and often if you are quiet the meeting will resume faster resulting in going home earlier. Since, people are tired we tend not to share. Which doesn’t help. Another idea that we did was to send out an online survey and we could vote and share creative ideas that way. This worked better for me because I could process my ideas thoroughly and write responses if the children were sleeping during naptime or at home from my phone if I chose.

We have a weekly staff meeting with our admin team to discuss our goals and challenges for the next week in each of our departments. We each bring a few topics to the table and help give eachother ideas to spark the creativity.

Monthly meetings to see where we are at and what we should improve on, going out to lunch or dinner after a team building exercise to further build our relationship with our coworkers and to get their opinions on things that they might want to try, see, or do.

One thing we have done at my center is go to an activity together. We have gone to a paint and sip class and we have also gone to the rodeo and concerts. Having the ability to spend time with coworkers outside of the workplace does make us feel more connected as we aren’t in the work setting.

I think order for our team to build stronger together. We should have team building days or we should have a meeting and talk about what we can improve on as a team. That will also prevent and any confusion that we have with another staff.

Being a before and after school care program has some big advantages, one being that we often don’t have children until we’ve already been open for about 30 minutes. My team is just me and one other teacher, and we regularly collaborate during this child-free time and use it to come up with activities, discuss room arrangement, and brainstorm strategies for difficult behaviors

I would have a meeting with all staff and brain storm ideas writing all down on a white board. We would narrow it down from there. There would be snacks as well because every one thinks better when they are not hungry.
