GuestDecember 29, 2025 at 11:49 pmWe don’t really use Screen Time at our center. I work with toddlers and I know that Screen Time is not good for the young learners..

GuestDecember 30, 2025 at 1:11 amWe are a Montessori school and do not utilize screen time within the classroom environment. Screen time is not a part of the Montessori early childhood learning methodology and philosophy. Instead, children navigate their day with individual and group lessons and independent work with hands-on materials.

GuestDecember 30, 2025 at 1:13 amYes. We do not allow for students to utilize screen time during the school day unless the teacher is using their laptop to show an example of a biome or animal. etc… to enhance their lesson. This is done with admin permission and on occasion only.

GuestDecember 30, 2025 at 1:15 amYes. To utilize a screen for showing a movie clip or a short educational video during a teacher-led lesson, teachers must secure admin approval prior to the lesson.

GuestDecember 30, 2025 at 6:12 pmAt my facility we don’t have any screen time for the kiddos. I work in the infant room, so there would be no educational reason to have screen time for the babies. Instead we listen and sing to music and read books aloud to the children. I believe for the older children 3-5 year olds, they are able to show films or videos only if it has a purpose (meaning the children will get/learn something important from what they are watching)

GuestDecember 30, 2025 at 7:44 pmI try to limit screen time. If we do screens then I want the kids to either be moving around doing an activity like yoga or exercise type video. We follow the rule of no more that 2 hours a week
