My center has not yet implemented tablets into our classrooms and curriculum so we don’t have any rules regarding screentime, but we plan to next year.

Screen time is not allowed at my child care center. Through out the day we focus on outdoor play, indoor play and we do lots of projects with out kiddos!

We don’t really use Screen Time at our center. I work with toddlers and I know that Screen Time is not good for the young learners..

We are a Montessori school and do not utilize screen time within the classroom environment. Screen time is not a part of the Montessori early childhood learning methodology and philosophy. Instead, children navigate their day with individual and group lessons and independent work with hands-on materials.

Yes. We do not allow for students to utilize screen time during the school day unless the teacher is using their laptop to show an example of a biome or animal. etc… to enhance their lesson. This is done with admin permission and on occasion only.

Yes. To utilize a screen for showing a movie clip or a short educational video during a teacher-led lesson, teachers must secure admin approval prior to the lesson.

We only watch screen time on special occasions and are typically a movie on Fridays or on party days.

At my facility we don’t have any screen time for the kiddos. I work in the infant room, so there would be no educational reason to have screen time for the babies. Instead we listen and sing to music and read books aloud to the children. I believe for the older children 3-5 year olds, they are able to show films or videos only if it has a purpose (meaning the children will get/learn something important from what they are watching)

I try to limit screen time. If we do screens then I want the kids to either be moving around doing an activity like yoga or exercise type video. We follow the rule of no more that 2 hours a week

We follow the 15-20 minutes a day. Although I work with the one year olds, so I try to not have any at all

We do not allow screen time while at the Center, the children do not have access to our classroom Ipads
