GuestDecember 30, 2025 at 11:24 pmThe only time that screen time is used is for indoor recess for movement activities and 2X per week in our classroom we have a read aloud of a book we have been discussing and using in our classroom. Screen time is very limited and used primarily for movement activities.

GuestDecember 31, 2025 at 6:25 amAt our center we do not have iPads or any technology for the children to use. However it is interesting to see how fast the children gravitate towards the teacher tablets if they are in the child’s reach.

GuestDecember 31, 2025 at 4:14 pmAt my facility, tv time is determined by who is around, how much of a weekend they had, and what time of day it is. Sometimes kids who have been full throttle all weekend with late nights and constant stimulation need a little zone out time. We tend to watch youtube which does not see to feature many food commercials so they are not being hit by that like they would on nickjr.

GuestDecember 31, 2025 at 9:29 pmAt my center, there is absolutely no screen time for any child under age 3. Age 3 and older get screen time (at school) for 1 hour, once a week, watching an educational show or movie for children that does not have any advertisements.

GuestDecember 31, 2025 at 9:56 pmOur center does not use any screens for the kids. Any tablets that teachers use for lesson planning are kept in the office, and there are no screens in the classroom. We want the kids to play and interact, and we want our teachers to have all their focus on the children with no distractions.

GuestDecember 31, 2025 at 11:35 pmThe rules for my workplace is that screens are to never be used to entertain the children. The screens we have are used ideally only as a learning resource or to encourage physical activity when we can not go outside often follow along yoga or dance videos.

GuestDecember 31, 2025 at 11:55 pmScreentime at the center I work at is limited and rare. The only time we will use it is to share cultures and countries with children. The time spent on the screen while it is used is normally no more then 20 minutes a day.

GuestJanuary 1, 2026 at 12:51 amWe are not allowed to use any screen time at any time of day with the children at my center. We can use music for certain planned activities but that is all.

GuestJanuary 1, 2026 at 2:16 amIt is against our policy to have screens in program. The only exception is if it is required for a student’s homework assignment. However many of our students don’t get homework that requires a screen.

GuestJanuary 1, 2026 at 8:49 pmWe do have some screen time at the center that I work at but I don’t recall ever hearing about a time limit. I do know that screen time is used in a very little amount every day.
