GuestJanuary 19, 2026 at 6:45 pmAt our center we are allowed to occasionally show an educational video for a few minutes per week if it is stated and approved in our curriculum by our Director. Otherwise no screen time is allowed. We use our iPad for photos of classroom activities and audio only music listening.

GuestJanuary 21, 2026 at 4:11 amWe do have some rules set in place such as limiting screen time to theme related programs. However its not really enforced the way it should be.

GuestJanuary 21, 2026 at 6:29 pmThere is not really any type of screen is our classroom. We do have an Alexa that plays music for the kids and they love it.

GuestJanuary 22, 2026 at 4:57 pmAt my day care facility, for children 2 and under, there is no screen time for children. We can play music for them on the Ipad’s but we cannot show them what is on the screen. For children 3 and up they are allotted 10 minutes a day, but I would say that they normally don’t receive more than 5 minutes a day.

GuestJanuary 22, 2026 at 11:34 pmWe do not have screen time in our EHS centers. The HS centers have HATCH which is a learning program for preschool children 3-5.

GuestJanuary 22, 2026 at 11:56 pmIn our pre-k class we limit to 20 minutes per day in the off chance we don’t have a book we need in our curriculum we look it up on YouTube for a read along or like today we were learning about avalanches so I searched up a video to show them what an avalanche looked like

GuestJanuary 23, 2026 at 9:15 pmYes, we have rules regarding screen time at our center. they are limited to 15 minutes a day and it must be written into the lesson plan by the Lead Teacher stating exactly what they will be watching. it is really only used to do a read allowed or a dance party to keep the children entertained while the teacher sets up a meal.

GuestJanuary 26, 2026 at 8:02 pmI currently only allow screen time in the form of tv in the morning when getting school kids out the door and at the end of the day at pick up. So maybe 1 1/2 total.

GuestJanuary 26, 2026 at 9:46 pmScreen time is extremely limited. An average day does not have any (other than the teacher’s projector). Primary learning is never on the tablet. Hands on and play is the better option!

GuestJanuary 27, 2026 at 5:19 pmAt my center cellphones and tablets are not allowed, however we do have televisions in each classroom. The children are limited to what the teacher is allowed to put on. They might do Danny Go or Jack Hartman for movement but most of the time the kids watch Bible Stories or PBS
