Screen time is seen as a planned special activity if any. It is part of daily normal life which we try to emulate for our kids as this is a shelter

Where I work currently there screen time rules vary per classroom. Infants to toddler have no screen time. Our preschool and prek room can do up to 2.5 hours a week. They are required to be learning or learning and grooving videos.

Yes there’s certain rules. They can have a phone in case of emergency but must not pick up any calls from the main phone.

We do not have individual screen time for our children. The only time we do, is during the whole group when we are doing movement activities (Danny-Go, interactive read-alouds, yoga), and it is teacher-controlled and projected onto the large screen in our room.

We do not have “screen time” for the children. We do play music or dancing activities where the children can look at the ipad to follow the steps. That is for only a few minutes.

At our center we do not allow screen time, we do however have special times during the year that we may have a special movie day as an activity during summer or a holiday such as Christmas when we are very low on children attendance

Yes, we do have screen‑time guidelines. At Vision of Love Phase II, I keep screen time very limited and intentional because young children learn best through hands‑on play, movement, relationships, and real‑world exploration. My approach is rooted in developmentally appropriate practice and in supporting healthy habits early in life. Our Screen‑Time Rules1. No daily screen time for infants or toddlersChildren under two learn through interaction, not screens. Their day is filled with talking, singing, sensory play, and bonding.2. Preschoolers may have occasional, purposeful screen timeThis is not part of our daily routine. When screens are used, it is for something meaningful, such as:• A short educational video connected to a lesson• A music-and-movement activity• A virtual story read by an author or librarian3. Screens are never used as a babysitterThey are not used during meals, transitions, or to manage behavior.4. Families are informed and can opt outIf a parent prefers their child not participate in any screen‑based activity, I honor that completely.5. Content is always age‑appropriate and culturally respectfulAnything shown must align with our values of inclusion, representation, and emotional safety.6. We prioritize real‑world experiencesOutdoor play, hands‑on learning, social interaction, and creative exploration always come first.

Screen time is limited to only 30 minutes every other day for certain rotations, it can also range from once a week to no time at all during the week and it also varies on age group.
