In our preschool, only educational videos are allowed and when watching the videos, teachers should interact with the children with open-ended questions. We are also required to get approval from admins for the other videos.

Yes, zero screens for ages under three. I’m preschool/peek classes time is limited to less than an hour daily, and is seldomly used. In school age, one movie is permitted on the big screen during bad weather monthly in the summer or on breaks.

At the center that I work at screen time is limited to 10 minutes per week for each child. The device they are able to use is limited to only learning games and web access is restricted. Teachers are allowed to use the ipads to play learning music but children are not encouraged to watch the screen.

Our facility has limited screen time. Kids under 2 no screen time and older ones might have a 2-5 minute dance video, or activity for music and movement. Nothing where they are sitting watching screen time.

At my daycare there are rules in regard to screen time for the children. Only children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old (preschool and pre-k) are allowed to use screens for 10 minutes a day. The iPad they have access to do not have access to the internet or videos, only educational games where they can practice their math, reading, writing and science. We also have a rule that children are not allowed to watch over their friends’ shoulders to ensure the 10 minutes a day maximum is kept.

We do not allow any screen time for infants who are 0-2yrs and for 3yrs-5yrs definitely we lean towards no more than 30-60 minutes per day of high quality and educational contented programs. Our policies strictly emphasize the least amount of sedentary play on the screen with supervised observation by an adult, it can also be interactive and must be commercial free as opposed to what we are always providing and encouraging with active play by adult supervision and guidance as needed with a ton of open-ended indoor and outdoor play options
