Creating and sticking to a daily schedule for kids means keeping things consistent, yet flexible. Make sure there’s a routine for waking up, meals, playtime, learning, and bedtime. Balance different activities throughout the day, like play, learning, quiet time, and outdoor fun. Use visual things if it helps, and communicate the schedule clearly to the kids. Stay open to changes and adjust the schedule as needed. This way, you can create a smooth and enjoyable daily routine for everyone.

It helps them understand each child better, so they can teach in a way that fits each child best. They can track how each child is doing and share this with parents. It’s also a way for teachers to keep getting better at what they do. So, it’s a big help for everyone involved in a child’s learning journey.

I’d remind her of the center’s closing time and discuss any challenges she’s facing. If lateness continues, I’d enforce any rules about late pick-ups, while still offering support. If the problem persists, I’d involve management.

I noticed that the WACs were very thorough about the ways we interact with the children and create safe spaces for them. I wasn’t surprised by anything in particular. They are parameters for healthy and safe environments and are not only applicable but important for day care providers to use.
