It takes time and patience for a child to understand a routine, especially when transitioning into a new classroom. As long as you keep trying, a child will adapt to your routine over time once they sense that your classroom rules and routine are safe.</p>

I would also remind them that their child misses them as much as they miss them. I would then offer them strategies that may help them improve their time managment. </p>
