    I would first communicate with the parent to see if there’s anything we can do to make it possible for her to pick up her child up on time. I would then give her a warning if that doesn’t work because she did agree to picking up her child at that set time when she enrolled the child. I would also just try to be understanding but also make sure that she understands that it can’t become a daily occurrence.

    The WAC’s state that it is important to be welcoming to all people no matter what their background is. To make everyone feel included no matter what. Discrimination is unacceptable whether that’s by race, gender, or religious beliefs

    1. I discovered/learned that there are a lot of WACs that Washington state requires but it’s also very understandable because you’re working with children.

    2. I wasn’t really surprised by any of the WACs because there all requirements to working with children that need to be followed.

    3. These requirements will for sure influence my day to day work with children. Learning these requirements allowed me to see what needs to be done and what is my job to look out for while working with these children.
