    POINT OF VIEW

    · I come from a “standard” family makeup, a mother and father and two siblings however my parents divorced in my teen years and never expanded our family beyond that.

    · I married someone from a very mixed family, with half, step and adopted siblings.

    · I went to Christian bible camps during the summers, but never engaged in weekly church activities.

    · My family has opposing political views from me.

My views have definitely evolved over my lifetime and as I interact with more people from different backgrounds. It is very beneficial to have a trusted person in your life that can help you challenge your perspective and grow.

    2. <ul type=”disc”>

    3. The WAC is exhaustive and well organized. Once you understand how the headers align with content, it is easy to find what you need.
    4. Were you surprised by any of the WACs?
    5. <ul type=”disc”>

    6. I was surprised by the amount of educational requirements in place for even an in-home childcare setting.
    7. Can you see how the WACs will influence your day-to-day practice in caring for children? Why or why not?
    8. <ul type=”disc”>

    9. There are some items that align with basic common knowledge when working with children, but other items like cleaning procedures can be more involved than common cleaning. Also, the level of documentation needed when caring for children makes it more organized.
