Observing and documenting a child’s development will give us the necessary information we need to assess what domains we need to support the child in. It also allows us to keep track and see the progress over time. This information then can also be shared with parents.
I do not think screen time is a good idea for children. In a world of technology it may be difficult to limit it but I think that children, especially young children do not need it. It can negatively impact attention span, and other cognitive function, as well as socio-emotional skills.
I think early learning providers can create a serve and return environment by paying attention to the kids interests and creating programming surrounding those interests.
