MemberJune 17, 2024 at 5:19 am in reply to: What to do when parents are late to pick up their child?I would start this conversation by helping the parent or caregiver understand that constantly being late to pick up their child can result in negative emotions like anxiety to be experienced by their child, even if its just 20 minutes. I would then try to create a plan with them for this situation to not happen again.

Incorporate important aspects for a child’s development and wellbeing into the daily schedule like having main activity times, breakfast, snack time, and lunch, play time, and sleep time.

Some components of a good early learning environment that I think are especially important are having a space where children feel secure. For instance, having cubicles where toys are stored in a way that is easy for the, to reach.

I believe that screen time in childcare can be appropriate if it enhances the learning of the child and if it is done in an effective amount of time.
