What I discovered was that WACs provides a variety of resources for educators to assist with early childhood education guidelines on safety and health, also it provided licensing specification.

I thought that a lot of the information reviewed in the WAC was common knowledge or had already been learned on the job. However, it is helpful to have this information laid out clearly in one place, for reference and compliance. I imagine that I will refer to it in the future as needed.

The WACs were easy to understand and follow which made it a clearer learning experience for me. It surprised me how in depth the WACs were. It makes sense though, since it leaves no room for question when coming across any situation. The WACs make me more aware of what I need to be paying attention to as an early learning professional which definitely influences my day-to-day practice in caring for children.

I found that the WAC codes are very detailed and would be very hard to memorize each and every one. I learned from looking over the codes, to learn as much as possible, and also know where to find the information for later reference.

Yes, I can see how the WACs influence my day-to-day practices in caring for children. WACs ensure the safety of everyone in an early learning environment. If I ever find myself guessing or overall unsure about a certain practice or requirement, being able to refer to the WAC is 100% beneficiary. I know WAC provides greater understanding to requirements and standards for early child service environments, Using WAC as a referral guide can help me become even more Complient and efficient in the services I provide.

I learned a lot through the wac . a quick and resourceful way to figure out the laws and regulations that have been set for this state. one example of use is the playground toys there is a code that regulates the age reqirements for the toys.

1. While completing the activity, I definitely discovered how thorough the WACs are. There are rules and laws with every detail.

2. Something that surprised me of the WACs was in WAC 110-300-0465 was that attendance logs need to kept on record for five years. That seems unnecessarily long.

3. I don’t think the WACs will influence my day-to-day practice in caring for children because I think I comply with all, if not most, of the rules.

I discovered that each WAC is very in-depth and actually very easy to read and understand. I was surprised by how many long regulations would need to be achieved before being licensed it gave me a really good look in the process and the things that needs to be accomplished. Also I can see how WAC’s will influence my day-to-day practices and caring for children because the WAC in-depth let’s me know the process in which things need to be done like with toileting it is an everyday thing that needs to be done but the WAC lets me know how that process should be handled.

Reading through the WAC’s there is a lot to go over, but the way it influences my day to day is by having them in the back of my mind and can pull then out when I have too. It influences not only my actions but the way I speak too with kids and staff. They also influence how I can speak to parents and how I can actively engage with each and every child.
