try and not make a big deal about everything that happens. kids are going to do bad things; they are going to get hurt and they won’t always get along with each other. the best thing you can do is make things as enjoyable as possible.

Outside of work there are a number of things one can do to release stress, but in the moment things that can help are deep breathing, meditation, taking a step back or changing the task you are doing.

Listening to music and exercising is a great way to calm your mind and then put something hopeful right in its place!

I like to sit at my computer, put my noise canceling head phones on, turn on my music really loud and focus on the music. break down the instruments I hear, the back ground vocal and study the song. or go for a drive at night, or play with my dog

Working all day can be very exhausting. I’ve found it helps to make sure I practice active rest at home so that I am ready to return to the classroom fresh and recharged. This helps my clarity and patience in the long run.

To relieve stress I like to work out every day, meditate, and make sure I get enough sleep every night!
