It was helpful to have a small refresher course, I have been out of child care for several years, and it has been nice for me to know that the WACs are written in a way that I am able to understand. I also found it helpful to know that they cover a fair amount of issues that can take place in a child care center.

hello!! im not sure if im replying in the correct manner for the discussion, but here were my thoughts on the WAC hunt:

1. What did you discover about the WACs while completing the activity? There was a lot more to it than I originally thought there would be, it was very in depth.
2. Were you surprised by any of the WACs? Yes and no, I think with the care of children we should have many standards and regulations in place to ensure they are in a healthy and positive environment, however I was surprised at how in depth the WAC was.
3. Can you see how the WACs will influence your day-to-day practice in caring for children? Why or why not? yes I can see how the WACs would affect my day to day because they help us care for children in positive and safe ways by following regulations and standards. They help early learning childcare providers to maintain positive learning environments that support children growth and development as well as safety and health.

I was surprised by the level of detail the WACs encapsulated when in comes to specific child care scenarios. It was incredibly in-depth, and provided specific explanations for unique situations. I was particularly surprised by supply requirements for all children, and the dedication to accommodating families. I can imagine the WACS could greatly influence my work in childcare as an important tool to refer to, even in the most unique of circumstances.

1. One thing I discovered was how thought out and detailed each one was. I also discovered that WAC is very well organized. The guidelines are very detailed and easy to understand.

2. I was not surprised by any of WACs. This might be because I have been working in the environment for a little while already and have some teacher friends so am more aware of rules from what they have told me.

3. Yes, I can see how the WACs will influence my day to day practice in caring for children. This is because of all the situations it covers. If unsure on how to respond to a situation I can locate what to do in the WAC.

1. What did you discover about the WACs while completing the activity? After going to the WAC and studying in detail, it taught me more information about ratios in Early Child Care Centers. I have worked in centers for so many years and always forget about the ratios, especially with mixing age groups.
2. Were you surprised by any of the WACs?Actually, I was surprised how long and detail the WACs are. Not only they are concise but also very clear, which it’s helpful for any type of learners.

Yes, it does influence day to day because having a direct access to it it gives an instant answer to questions ,very precise. There was a big different of me as teacher before and after knowing this form and protocol.
